@charlyblues BTW, when I said 90%, I said meant 90% of my love is due to the samples. If you are honestly going to tell that people do not take this form of music too seriously or believe all the stories told through the lyrics, you are crazy.

@hmorganman I agree. As much as I love rap, 90% is due to the samples, which is old jazz, soul, and funk. I thoroughly agree that rap has poisoned the minds of too many people who are too stupid to realize it's all a joke. It's been embraced and taken seriously. They want ho's, guns, drugs, jewelry, and money. What about "Love and Happiness"?

During these years, R&B artists were putting out classic albums. The very air in the black community was thick with innovation, creativity, and REAL MUSICIANS! It was as if they knew we were about to go into a Dark Age which began with the release of Sugar Hill Gangs Rappers Delight. Who would believe that you could mouth some nonsensical lyrics that made absolutely no sense to somebody elses music?
