Latin American immigrants sent a record 5 billion dollars from Spain to their countries of origin during 2006, according to a new study by the Multilateral Investment Fund. The Spanish banking system has succeeded at delivering services that best respond to immigrant needs - after three years as residents, 90% of the immigrants have their own bank accounts and one out of six has purchased a home with Bank credit.
