At the time, I never understood those enemy fraggles. Mokey wanders into their camp, says hello, and all of a sudden she's taken hostage?

Of course today I realize they were a metaphor for the Soviets, but Red had a valid point. Tossing a girl in a cage for the crime of 'wrong place, wrong time'? Only the Trash Heap would know what cruel stunt they'd pull next!
