@ThePanpan...if you're feeling pain in your left hand you might want to think about relaxing (opening)your left shoulder a little. Also your left hand thumb and general hand position could be contributing to the tension.You should have a natural curve along your fingers and a nice straight relaxed thumb. Look at your hand when it's relaxed...fingers naturally bent inwards and thumb straight. It's really just the same when you're playing. Happy flutin"
