And people want to call Madonna the Queen of Pop. Sorry, but Babs is the TRUE Queen of Pop, no one can sing a Pop ballad like her! She's in a class by herself just like her contemporary Aretha Franklin.

If you know the finished product on the album, these are fascinating... the way she tries to nail that awesome high note. It's not quite there on any of these takes, but on the album, it's astonishing and polished, and you can see how she warmed up in these takes to get there. Brava!

HEY! I'm so grateful to you for the great info! I know nothing about the video. This recording landed in my lap many years ago and I never knew what to do with it so I made this awful slideshow just to get it out there. I had to edit the crap out of it to fit it on youtube. Sorry for that!
