Interview of one if not the greatest singers of our time Madam Noor Jehan. What can one say about Malkai-e-Tarranum. This was interview was recorded in the early 1990s as part of a sixteen episode programme called "Songs and Memories" Every week one prominent personality from Pakistan and India used to come and talk about their careers and memories. They also picked their favourite 3 film songs.

Please don't mind my words so what if Faiz Sahib is not there to his fans are definitely there who understand his poetry. Though noor jehan is praising faiz's poetry, but saying "mujh say pehli si mohabat meray mehboob na maang" is a poor way of talking about love. True love never diminishes, hence life's problems cannot effect true love, which is a mental condition.

Noor jehan is the greatest female singer of all times. She could easily take her voice to the fourth octave, which Lata, roshanara begum, asha, parveen sultana, etc cannot. She has done so in film mousiqar, "rassilay moray rassia najaria milaa" where she gives her moorkian in the fourth octave, which I have not heard any body else do. She is too polite and humble to call herself the greatest.
