The Marin History Museum presents the story of Erna Torney, a Red Cross girl who served on a B-24 Air Force base in England during WWII. Erna's story is part of the Museum's oral history program.

  • Very nice Erna. I was a Red Cross Girl in Vietnam. We were called Donut Dollies but we didn't have donuts. The nickname was a hold over from the WW2 Red Cross Girls. I found your history really interesting as it explained some parts of the program I hadn't heard about before. Bless you.
