Official 1st Theatrical Trailer to the BATMAN BEGINS sequel THE DARK KNIGHT. The movie takes Batman across the world in his quest to fight a growing criminal threat. With the help of Lieutenant Jim Gordon (Oldman) and District Attorney Harvey Dent (Eckhart), Batman has been making headway against local crime...until a rising criminal mastermind known as The Joker (Ledger) unleashes a fresh reign of chaos across Gotham City. To stop this devious new menace--Batman's most personal and vicious enemy yet--he will have to use every high-tech weapon in his arsenal and confront everything he believes. (Opens July 2008)

  • omg goose bums every time i see the trailer

  • 1:05

    Batman: WHERE IS HE !!!!!!!!

  • Evening, Commissioner...why so serious!?

  • R.I.P. heath ledger.. I love you! <3

  • i still think just the way this trailer was done is amazing.

  • @pollyweb1 Also, he is an enigma. He has so many different back stories that he makes up, that it's impossible to think that he is a normal man, while Jack's Joker had an origin and makes him look more human. Heath is just a pychopath

  • Honestly, I prefer Mark Hamill's Joker over Ledger, Nicholson and Romero, but Heath definitely nails the live action version.

  • Bale is a great actor and perfect for the more realistic take on Batman, but Heath.... My god, Heath MADE this movie one of the best, if not THE best superhero movies of all time.

  • Like Jack's Joker....Anyone!

I disagree. You blame the script for an actor's performance. The movies were different and so were the Jokers. Heath nailed a much better Joker laugh in my opinion and had a much more solid script to work with. Nolan's Joker was a lot closer to Moore's comic where he is depicted as an agent of chaos more than a murderer. Burton's was really just a gangster with make-up (close to the cookie-cutter Joker in comics).
