Senioritis

Entered into the Competition TSA (winning 2nd place). The competition was to create a film limited to FIVE (5) minutes that both informed on an important message, while also being entertaining.

Description:
What exactly is Senioritis? Most people believe it is simply the lack of motivation college bound high school seniors experience. Others believe it is simply a mixture of pure laziness and hubris. The people who actually experience Senioritis, however know it is much more then the above. It is an over indulgence of gratification and amusement that is later soiled by fear and anxiety. It is an enormous yet intoxicating gamble of years of hard work for the possibility of temporary risk free personal entertainment.

What makes Senioritis so dangerous? The fact that it has a difficult road to recovery once one becomes infected. It takes a truly strong slap in the face of reality to bring most people back to their senses; though even that can sometimes prove ineffective.

The purpose of this film is to both entertain with its satirical humor on the life of high school seniors and to inform on the pressures of being one. The goal is to allow the audience to come away with a feeling of anxiety, showing that although the fun of Senioritis may seem enticing, it is not worth the risk; not only due to the possible consequences, but how internal fear can build and imprint itself on a persons mind.
