It's funny that this was written it seems by someone just watching a river with flowers in the spring at night time. Westerners need drugs, and space battles to come up with music this intense.

yes, this piece is very typical of traditional Chinese music. It all starts with relaxing and peaceful melody for a while. Later have to cope with some struggle. e.g. the little boat sailing on the river encounters strong wind. Everything turns out fine, and the melody is peaceful and calm again.

i find it stange that one instrument can move someone in such a way where you almost feel like you've had an outer body experience.... i closed my eyes and put my head back and felt like i was or should be somewhere else. i had a enlightening experience thank you for sharing this
