  • I learned ki like this : き without the opening. wich is the right one??

  • @videofreek112 In written Japanese the "ki" with the opening is standard (what all kids in Japan learn). The "ki" without the opening came about for typing and printing. (The same goes for "sa"). So both are right.

  • i'm confused about Ki why did you leave that gap in the curve. is it just one of those things or is there a meaning. Reply please.

  • There is actually no connected curve in "Ki". That connected curve was created when the character was created for typing or computer fonts. Same goes for "Sa". So follow the way I have it written.

  • @ShoyuJapanese There's no technical problem for computer fonts or typewriter to have the symbol ki with the opening.
