This is segment of a video I'm working on for a friend who recently took a trip to Palau. This is the world famous jellyfish lake that is full of them, but they are totally harmless. With them buzzing all around, you can forget which way is which, thus explaining my choice of music.

  • No, this is a rare situation where they have a closed off eco system and no natural predators. Therefore, they have lost their sting after years of evolution. Cool, eh?

  • There stingers do as much damage to a human as a handgun will to a tank. Nothing.

  • they lack of venom b'coz there was no predator upon them... just anemone that eat them. their diet depend on symbiotic algae in the body...

  • Yes, they can still sting. But the "stingers" are so small that they cannot be felt on human skin unless on soft tissue, like the lips. But even then, they say you can barely feel it. So cool!!!

  • can they sting at all?
