@360Nomad You...Are the dumbest conspiracy theorist I have ever come across...
The Japanese Imperial Government took FULL responsibility for this attack. Japanese documents signed by Hirohito himself were recovered in Tokyo after hostilities had ended between the U.S. and Japan. The Vestal didn't get destroyed because the blast was contained, mostly, to the inner most part of the Arizona's hull. Sure, the explosion was massive, but not so much so as to destroy neighboring ships. Idiot
@360Nomad A, No When a powder magazine goes up it blows the ship up. Just look at the HMS Barham, from WW2 or the Battle cruisers that were lost in the Battle of Jutland. The Arizona was launched in 1919 taking lessons from what happened in Jutland (HMS Bahram was at Jutland). We had better magazine storage which kept the forward magazines from blowing up also. I can go all day with this "Controlled Demolition" BS
@SheelaShay Because it cost the lives of over 1,000 men. About half of what the US lost at Pearl Harbor

@irondog068 The blast should've taken out the other ships nearby (i.e. USS Vestal). But it didn't. Care to enlighten me how this is possible?

@Spionsilver The USS Arizona had the standard AA guns of 1941, Quad 1.1 AA guns, .50 AA machine guns and 3 inch AA guns

@marauder622 And it would've blown every hatch open on board the ship.
