There is no set length or weight for the caber. The Braemar caber is recognised as the most challenging caber of them all. There has been less than 10 people in history tossed it completely.
The rules state that the caber should be big enough so that only 1 or 2 competitors can toss it.

Yes, The Dance is a wonderment of its own! Unfortunately, I have the deformed feet, as there was nothing but ballet or tap where I grew up. Wish I could've! And to grow up seeing such feats! I'm envious! (Caber tossing explains how I was taught to fight, though- "Pick em up and throw 'em!" LOL!)

Yea, good memories for sure...if you still want to try I have a list of all registered teachers in the US so you could see if one is reasonably close. Or if you want something a little less strenuous you could always try Scottish Country Dancing :)
