You are right. Remember the ancient egyptians rule by region. They never identify themself as egyptians. That's an english word. Or the greek egyptos or syriac mizraim. Those names are all foreign to them. Only the foreign population that have dwell in northern part of egypt for the past 2400 yrs should identify as that. But the real egyptians like the dark skin brown ones that currently live in upper egypt and northern sudan should be call nubians since they are the true ancestors.
