@DarkwithPeace No vacuum, so always friction.

i guess its a perpetuum mobile because it never gets boring :-P

man, nice job!

Magnets alone do not power anything.

Attach the ball to a an overhead arm. No friction as is goes around.

nice smot.. now, why does the ball stop? arent the magnets arranged in the same way thru out the circle?

Look like weapon from transformers !

@GlennAnimator A magnetic field is created as the result of moving charges. A good example of this is electric current that flows through a wire. When this occurs, there are negatively charged, subatomic particles, called electrons, moving through the wire. As these charges move, a magnetic field forms around the wire. Likewise, the magnetic field of a magnet is created by the movement of electrons. Magnets have magnetic fields. That sir, is how magnets work.
Fucking magnets,
How do they work?

Search for "SMOT" (in youtube).

Now that's what I call a fancy SMOT! Good job.
Except for the one tiny problem... It doesn't work :(
Just like the regular SMOT, though. And it's not just an "engineering problem". It simply doesn't. Many have tried and no one succeeded. IMHO it's a pretty rush decision to look for manufacturers and distributors at this stage :)
