I've been playing with the Tachyon XC for a while. The camera is great but it took a bit to get the angle of the mount right. Here I am shooting my limited Glock 35. The duracoat finish was inspired by Eddie VanHalen's guitar. The match was 7 stages but I either forgot to get the first person or 3rd person cameras going for all but the three stages. I am still learning the editing tricks. This time I attempted to adjust the brightness to match between the two views. My next goal is to find software that will allow me to do color corrections.

  • What editing software were you using?

How hard was it to determine the correct angle for capturing your shooting?

Any suggestions for how to mount on your cap?

What do you think about strapping it to the side of your head?

Did the camera tend to want to fall off your cap, or did it pull your cap off your head?

  • I use PowerDirector by CyberLink.

The angle of the mount it going to be a trial and error thing. It will depend a lot on how wide the view angle is. I think the bill of the cap is the way to go. The actual mounting technique would depend on the camera model.

The camera that I use is slightly on the heavy side. Tightening up the band of the hat and using ear muffs does work to keep the hat in place.
