Everything Old is New Again

Consumed by the fire
The thunderbird dies
and rises once more
flies high in the skies

in death its hard to believe
that rebirth can be
a possibility
But what we have lost
at quite a great cost
the tears and the years
hope drowned by the fears

are not lost at all
listen, hear the call
you are still quite real
not a persona
sensations you feel
you're here, and bona
fidedly real

the past and the now
the future as well
all one in the dao
all heaven and hell

the dark and the furious
power it resides
in our quite curious eyes
and
like Persephone we mimic
and we all pretend
that we can gimmick and bend
reality to
fit our fantasy
but
the rage grows strong
and then we deny
that we all belong
that we are allies
and are all the same
though we are diff'rently named
spring turns to summer
summer and then fall
and we hear the call
once more
once more
Everything Old is New Again
everything being renewed
I will be here when
you're ready
I will always be waiting for you.
