Sorry I'm now replying to your question. It depends on the size of the hard drive. An 80 GB hard drive takes about 2 hours to kill. I know that because I've done it. Another thing is if your wanting to kill your hard drive there are other ways to do it now. I made this video because there where no kill disk video at the time I made these.

Any idea why it the killdisk program says I have a 111.8GB HD instead of 120? What is on the 8.2 GB or where did it go?

It may not see all the data that's on there. Even if you kill the hard drive there is always going to be something left. This is something I will need to get back to you on.
