  • What about 'moshi moshi' ?

I often hear that when someone is picking up the phone....

Or is this phrase for girls only?

  • @TalaLoid "moshi moshi" is the greeting reserved for when you pick up the phone. It's not for girls only - everyone can use it! ;)

  • after just a couple of weeks of being signed up to JapanesePod101 I actually understand some of what they are saying. The telephone conversation is quite difficult to follow, but the meeting at 2:13 I followed quite easily. Freaky!

  • why dont you write the words they say in japanese, beside the english translation it will be more helpfull ?

  • Is there any place where I could download the music of the beginning and congrats for your videos

  • @MoriAryka I'm currently developing a bipedal autonomous robot using PID servo controller and IR sensory systems. I think I'm going to start a company, sell my product and teach Norwegian in Tokyo.

  • @CognitiveNetwork @CognitiveNetwork maybe you can find a job there...if you can speak Japanese!

How about teaching English or Norwegian to Japanese (by any chance you're interested in) ? 'Cuz it's easier to get this kind of job than robot things in Japan. But whatever you're gonna plan to do in Japan, study their language first.

    Best wishes - 幸運を祈ります :)

  • @CognitiveNetwork

He says: Tomodachi wa shouki na no ~ ?

so yes, tomodachi is the word for friend, wa is a particle that adds a state into the sentence (in this case to be), shouki is a word meaning sanity, and "na no" is the way he expresses it as a question..... This phrase as a whole is interpreted as "is your friend crazy?".

  • Learners: notice when the girl stops speaking politely : )

  • @TalaLoid and also for when someone is trying to get your attention like we say hey and starts waving in the face that's what I mean by that.

  • @CognitiveNetwork pretty much if you have a bachelors degree in any thing they will let be a assistant teacher but in your case japan really wants native English speakers. It's certainly not out of the question for you finding a job there but only if you have a bachelors degree.

  • WHY COULDN'T IT BE AN ACTION FILM!!!!! but it looks good so far

  • @arbide3 not always, but in this case, yes, it really is kind of hard... In this case I mean (Japanese/English).
