Author and folklorist Clary Croft regaled a crowd of spectators at the New Glasgow Library on the evening of Monday, October 26, 2009 with observations about the paranormal and his longtime association with his mentor, the late Helen Creighton. Usually the library is closed to the public on a Monday night, but we opened the branch up, kept the lights off, set up a simulated campfire, and invited people from the community to share ghost stories with Clary and each other. Great fun was had by all -- the start of a new Halloween season tradition, perhaps?
