I took a kid and his father from minnesota snook fishing last year the first land based snook charter i ever did he caught a small snook, then a 36 inch pig, and his dad got a ncie snook too. Sadly, almost all the snook at our bridges up north here are dead now.
Much less numbers... Taking a trip down south early november to fish the backwaters on the new moon sunrise and sunset + docklights we'll see what happens.

yeah but were i live we have lots of good fish
barramundi, mangrove jack , giant trevally, queenfish, fingermark, jungle perch and flathead
-
we just catch them for the fight because they jump a lot and have blazing runs its just for the sport of it not for a food source as we have many other great tasting fish fresh and salt water as you also have in australia
-
in australia not many people try to catch the as they are not edible but i have caught lots of them while fishing for other stuff. Also i dont think they get as big in australia
-
that would be so intense and then just a huge let down
-
they r like lady fish the ones that crap every where but these r huge!!
Hey Capt,
Im heading down to Sanibel and would love to fish with you! I am looking for a pair of saltwater fishing glasses what brand do you prefer? Friends of mine have recommended Costa del Mars. What are your thoughts?

I like the Costas. I have a couple pair. I like the amber lens ones the best.

no wonder it took over an hour, he's fishing with bass equipment..and didn't even land it..its an insult to the big ones to fish for them with those little wally world trout setups..all it does is exaust the fish and give him a better chance of dying..but if this guy was standing on land he would have been spooled within about 2 minutes

Not a Bass setup at all. He was using a Shimano Baitrunner which is there bigger reel spooled with 50 pound main and 80 pound leader if my memory serves me correctly. I like the heavier tackle as well and you are very right about wearing them out. Thanks for watching.
