Just another one of my covers of an amazing solo. I used this 27 Fret Rand guitar that was the actual guitar used in the Whitesnake- Is This Love Music Video that Vivian Campbell used.

  • Nice. I've always wanted a Rand, especially the yellow/orange combo H-S pups. I'm guessing the protos only came in the single humbucker configuration?

  • Hey, that would be totally cool! Thanks for taking care of one of the coolest guitars I have owned

  • wow that is awesome man!!!!

definitely cool to know that story, my dad owns many of the rand guitars, and he said he agrees with you, its one of the rand prototypes, my dad has another one that is even older than it and its blue and you can tell it is a very rough draft of what ended up becoming of the rands, i can send you a picture of all of them together sometime if youd like

  • Here is the story behind the cracked headstock, the headstock is made of 2 pcs(joined excatly where the repair is). somewhere around 1993, I had this guy in NC who owned Roscoe guitars fix it. The guitar never stayed in tune after it was fixed. I fought with this guitar all the way up til I sold it. The neat thing about this guitar over all the other Rands, is that it was never routed for cavity covers on the back, which makes me think it was one of the first ones made.

  • Wow! I used to own this guitar. I believe the headstock has been repaired. I owned this guitar for about 10 yrs. Found it hanging in a music store in Baltimore, MD back in 1992. Glad to see it is still in good shape

  • well i take it you know him on the guitar forum?

whats your username? he'll send ya one

  • What color is that one ?? can you send me a pic of it ? please thanks ...i dont think he showed me that one ... Mark

  • yes my dad is Rupert, and well the other one is sitting in my living room
