  • Nice Video!! What is that tooling plate that you are using? Also, Do you have a site with more info? Good Job. -Adam

  • The tooling plate is something I made from a large piece of alumininum plate I had. I drilled and then tapped evenly spaced holes. I do not have a website, but you can find lots of CNC conversion information at CNCZone.

Also in the Yahoo groups for CNC machines ie. the Mach group and Gecko group

  • how much did you pay for the kit? and did you had previous experience with cnc programing before you used your mini mil?l

  • This was my first attempt at CNC. One good source of Info is the Yahoo Mach3Mach3 group as well as the Gecko group. I chose to go with a Kit, wich is not the cheapest way to go, but it was the quickest. Plan for ~ $1000 to ~$1500 for the CNC plus SW (mach 3) CAD and CAM another $400 to $800 depending on choices

  • Very cool

  • I really like your comment at the end of this video. Learning priceless.

I myself have a King Canada PDM-30 mill drill wich is actually a Rung Fu RF-30 mill with 900oz/inch steppers and mach 3. Nice job. I like your stuff and I build industrial machines for a livng. Keep up the good work and remember that PC's where invented in a backyard garage.

    Regards.

  • Very nice! I am continually amazed at American Ingenuity. Look up climb milling vs conventional milling... for a first part you are doing great!! Keep up the good work...

  • Hey man did you changed for ballscrwes on this mill? What diameter you used?

  • Nice job with that - loved the cost comparison at the end - so true lol :)

  • Great video

  • I'm thinking about converting mine as well. What CAD/CAM are you running?
