  • I took the train from Luxor to Cairo and that took 10hrs. The ticket cost $80. The single cabin was really comfortable slept very well. Toilets where clean and the porter brought my lunch which was half a chicken

I know there is a cheaper option the over night train has at times a tourist section which is adequate, although I once took the none tourist option and there was a guy about 80 sitting near me who stunk off piss and the toilets had shit every where...

  • Thank you very much for your quick response! by the way, do you know if there is any way to buy the bus trip to Abu Simbel before arriving in Aswan? Once again thank you!

  • Hi! Thanks for your images! Egypt looks an amazing place to visit and I'm planning a trip there. I question: I've noticed you went to Cairo by train, how were the conditions? Clean? How were the toilets? It's a long trip from Aswan to Cairo so I'm trying to make up my mind! Thanks!!
