Dissidia 3 (011) - Character Predictions

12 New Characters

Cosmos:
Faris, Gau, Rinoa, Beatrix, Sazh

Chaos:
Seymour, Eald'narche, Vayne, Dysley

My reasons for:
Faris - Not much here, cept for the fact that she is the only great notable character from V next to the main Protagonist & Antagonist.
She's a Pirate (also a princess), has a great personality, A dragon as pet & would be a great asset to Bartz Vs. Exdeath/Gilgamesh.

Gau - You all might think i'm crazy here but i'm not.
Most of the time when adding new characters in games the develepers look for amazing new fighting styles & that sort of things. little beast boy has that. as there still is no Blue mage in Dissidia.
But my biggest reason of all; the dissidia team has said that they wanted to keep Terra as VI's main Protagonist.
(Note: FFVI has no official Protagonist it's either Terra/Locke or Celes)
Therefore adding the others would ruin that a bit.
Also In Dissidia 1 & 2 Terra is constantly being protected by someone, with Gau as her partner she could for once be the guardian type.

Rinoa - Logic. pure Logic.
FFVIII more or less revolves around their relationship.
Rinoa would lighten up squall's ever depressing mood and give him a good reason to fight.
(also note about rinoa: The ever great rumour of her being Ultimecia and all.)

Beatrix - It's either her or Vivi, but Dissidia needs more females and even more villains, Beatrix is both.
She could be a villain at the start and later on turn good, just like in FFIX.
IMO Garnet is out of the question, she wasn't much of a fighter and Zidane isn't much of a romantic type, he's a care free dude, and therefore the Squall/Rinoa Tidus/Yuna treatment wouldn't work with Zidane & Garnet.

Sazh - Nomura wanted him in, and if he wants someone in he/she will be in.
Tetsuya Nomura has stated in an interview he would choose Sazh over Lightning to appear in a sequel to Dissidia Final Fantasy to represent Final Fantasy XIII. However, Lightning was selected as Final Fantasy XIII's representative for the prequel, Dissidia 012 Final Fantasy.
Too bad there wasn't enough free space to put him in Duodecim.
(Note: some of the characters in Duodecim where characters Nomura wanted in Dissidia 1)

Seymour - If he isn't in Dissidia 3 the world will destroy itself and the universe will collapse.
He was meant to be in Dissidia 1 but ultimately got replaced with Jecht since Tidus didn't have much going with seymour and the father son rivalry would work better.
Then in Dissidia 2 he got scrapped for Yuna since a lot and I mean A LOT of fans wanted Yuna or a Summoner in dissidia. Now that Yuna is in nothing is stopping Seymour from making his long overdue debut.
-Seymour was considered to be in Dissidia Final Fantasy as the Chaos representative of Final Fantasy X, but was rejected in favor of Jecht. Various traits of his, however, were included with Emperor Mateus in Dissidia 012, and the rivalry between Yuna and the Emperor in that game was similar to her rivalry with Seymour Guado.

Eald'narche - Again the seymour treatment.
Both Kam'lanaut and Eald'narche were considered to appear in Dissidia 012 Final Fantasy as representatives of Chaos, but they were rejected in favor of Prishe.
Now we have two FFXI Cosmos warriors and none for Chaos.

Vayne - This one is more of a personal thing.
yes, Balthier & Co would also make for great candidates but IMO and probably true Gabranth isn't FFXII's main villain.
Vayne takes that role. With Vayne in Dissidia 3 Gabranth could help team cosmos in taking him down just like in FFXII.

Dysley - The chances are small for this guy but he is FFXIII main villain and XIII is still missing one.
They can make him fight like The Emperor, and give him a smaller modified version of Barthendalus as his Ex-Mode.
(they did the same with Jechts Final Aeon, Ultemicia's Ex Mode etc.) just Dysley with a metallic appearance would already be a step in the right direction.
Cid Raines another great warrior isn't actually a villain just a puppet of Dysley.

Zulvan aka Gaius van Baelsar - is one of the main antagonists of FFXIV, first appearing on the final quest of the main storyline. FFXIV was just realesed before Duodecim and yet he already got lots of fans wanting him in Duodecim.

??? - The long awaited fan request.
More or Less the True Villain of Final Fantasy III.

??? - Does this guy even need a reason.
Next to Cloud & Sephiroth he's the next most popular thing in the FFVII universe, he has it's own game, saves Clouds sorry *ss in Advent Children, uses a gun (we now only have Laguna as a gunner in dissidia), and has lots of transformations that can be used for his Ex-Mode.
Reason he's in the secret list is he's not much of a talker and therefore probably won't be in the main storyline.

Your prediction sucks. Sorry. Even if you like these characters, most of them have no reason to be in. They are others in the same games far more integral to their respective plots and popular. FF4-- No one. FF6-- Seriously, CELES. Do I even need to explain why? FF7-- No one needed. FF8-- Rinoa or... sigh... Seifer if one has to. FF9-- Garnet or Vivi. FF10-- No one. FF11-- ehh? FF12-- Ashe or Baash. This is a given. FF13-- Maybe Snow? FF10-- No one.

012 already got no Chaos reps (not counting Gilgamesh cause he's pretty much a good guy)

I can understand that you think differently, but most of my characters have solid reasons for their inclusion (see description).

~FF4 needs another since it didn't get one in 012

~FF6 ok, but Square wants to keep Terra as the FF6's main protagonist hence I didn't add locke/Celes.

~FF7 is overrated yeah, but they are surely gonna add another character from their most popular FF serie.

~FF8 I have Rinoa one the list >_>, and yeah Seifer is also a good choice but he's more or less a costume swap for Squall, just like FF7's Zack and some people are against that i've read.

~FF9 It was a hard choice between Vivi and Beatrix for me,. but in the end I chose her since they are surely gonna add at least 3 new females in the next game (if there'll even be one), dissidia lacks villains and there's not much to do with Kuja anymore.

besides Zidane doesn't need Garnet as Cloud needs Tifa, Squall needs Rinoa. Zidane is a carefree dude.

~FF10 Seymour was supposed to be in Dissidia 1, and then in 2., and now that Yuna is in his sure to be included.

~FF12 needs a real villain, Gabranth is a misunderstood good guy who turns fully good at the end. (game also needs Ashe though)

~FF13 Nomura (creator of dissidia) wanted Sazh over Lightning. but ultimately choose lightning cause she's the protagonist.

Note: 50% of the new 012 characters were supposed to be in 1.

Sazh, Seymour, & Eald'narche were all supposed to be in previous dissidias too.

Finally! Someone who realizes that Kingdom Hearts is not a Final Fantasy game and doesnt need to be added. I love Kingdom hearts but dont believe that it needs to be put into a Final Fantasy Based game. Kingdom Hearts is a stand alone series that uses Characters from different franchises.
