This is a Tool Assisted Speed-run (or TAS) of the NES game Super Mario World made in 1995.

This is in no way meant to show skill, it is purely for entertainment.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

This TAS is done by warping straight to the end level by pressing the Down button on the D-Pad just to clear that up for people. I might do a TAS of going through the whole game in the future though (I don't have a limit on how long videos can be now so why not?)

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Time completed: 00:02:09.24
Frames:7767
Re-record count: 80 (it's a fairly easy game to TAS)

  • Gotta love Mario's moon jumping here

  • @dummylegacy Yeah, that's one of the problems with this game is the floaty jump physics, it can be REAL hard to control where you land.

  • Can you tell me how to warp to the warp zone? Is it a button combination or something?

  • @Akfamilyhome I just pressed down on the D-pad and it got me to the warp zone.

  • This link is faster nicovideo sm9982770

  • @asutoroZnewmario Ah I see, but I really wasn't going for a fully optimized TAS, just one that looked decent. (Besides I did it in one after-noon anyway so I didn't intend to get a new record.)

  • To be fair, the game's levels are faithfully ported, and the sprites look pretty good. It's just the physics are an absolute nightmare

  • id would play the hell out of this if it was ever released on the nes

  • @fredy385 Yes it looks awful, but it's still kick ass for nes graphics

  • This game look awful omg.

  • horrible music

  • this looks pretty bad ass for being on the nes
