This years Dutch musical awards - Lifetime achievement award was presented to Alan Menken, who was invited to watch the 5 different European Belle's singing,
All of them are playing Belle in the new European production of Beauty and the Beast from Stage Entertainment. Wich had its European premiere in Carre Theatre in Amsterdam

That was beautiful. Alan Menken is a true musical genius. He has A LOT to be proud of!

I wouldn't be surprised if Alan was thinking his friend, Howard Ashman(who died in 1991 from AIDS) while they were singing this. "Beauty and the Beast" is dedicated to Howard's memory and Alan misses him even today because Howard was like a brother to him. Those 2 were an unbeatable team!

LuIsEeEeEeEeEeEeEe said Lolita Cortés (Mexico) was missing, and to THAT I mentioned They're all Belles from Europe, as said in the vid, and that that is probably the reason why Lolita is missing, cause Mexico is not in Europe.
