Young Voices: Life With Diabetes

If you are a teen or young adult living with type 1 diabetes, this is your chance to "Shout Out" about diabetes. Tell the next President what can be done to help put an end to this disease -- in one minute or less. Express your Wishes. Your Needs. Your Challenges.

JDRF is teaming up with Discovery Health, Novo Nordisk, and Discovery Education to launch Young Voices: Life With Diabetes, a national web-based video campaign allowing teens and young adults to share insights on the challenges you face living with type 1 diabetes.

Building on the momentum of the upcoming election, record a one-minute video message to the incoming President highlighting your opinions, attitudes, wishes, and needs for how diabetes care can be improved. For each video submitted, Novo Nordisk will donate $10 to JDRF, so send in your video, and spread the word to all your friends!

Ive been type 1 since 1973. Five years ago I found out type 1 diabetics, on average, die twenty years younger than normal people. Ive been having a party ever since. Have a good time, while you can!
