Programs needed:
-Memory Card Adaptor (can be bought online at amazon.com)

-PSV Exporter
http://www.ps2savetools.com/download.php?op=viewdownloaddetails&lid=87

-PS2 Save Builder
http://www.ps2savetools.com/download.php?lid=74&op=viewdownloaddetails

-MYMC (Download the Alpha zip 2.5 version at the bottom of the web page)
http://www.csclub.uwaterloo.ca:11068/mymc/

Instructions:
1. With a PS memory card adapter, one end has a slot for your PS1 or PS2 memory card data. The other end is a USB.
Connect that USB drive to the PS3, and use the memory card you want inside the Adapter's Slot.

2. Copy all your PS2 data into the PS3, and use a USB Flash Drive to copy the data from the PS3, into the Flash Drive, then use that Flash Drive to put everything into your computer. (Don't worry if the files are .PSV format, that's how they're suppose to look)

3. Using PSV Exporter, Extract any one of the PSV files, but choose only ONE!!! If you do this one at a time, you'll avoid any confusion, since all files usually says BASLUS with a random number.

4. With PSV Exporter, Save all that data (should contain 1 BASLUS file, 1 icon.sys file and something else), and save it into any folder that would be easy to access.

5. Now use PS2 Save Builder, and drag all the data from that folder you created into the PS2 Save Builder white box area. SOMETIMES the ps2 icon game data logo would appear, so don't worry if it didn't.

6. With PS2 Save Builder, copy the entire text from the file that starts with BAS.... (only one should say BASLUS or something close to that, but all letters are CAPS). Copy the ENTIRE text and paste it into the ROOT/ID box just above the files.

NOTICE: If the file says BASLUS22060, then COPY BASLUS22060, you MUST include the numbers in its title.

7. With PS2 Save Builder, go to file and save the data as a .MAX format, but the name of that data doesn't need to remain the same from this point. In the video, when all the files were compressed into a .MAX format, i named that data "Disgaea GAME DATA" (Disgaea GAME DATA.max)

NOTE: I just save the file as a AR MAX V3 for .MAX format, i never tried the other formats, so I don't know if they will work.

8. Now you can open MYMC (close PS2 Save Builder and PSV Exporter since you won't need them anymore). With MYMC go to FILE, then OPEN..., and pick the memory card you want to use. (In the video i chose MC4.mc)

9. If your memory card had other data, it will show in the MYMC program (in the video i used an empty memory card). Now go to FILE, then IMPORT..., and get that .MAX data that you saved.

It should appear in the MYMC box, with its game name and data.

10. To save the MYMC program, you just click EXIT, because the data that's imported into the memory card is now a part of the memory card, so no saving required. :D

11. Open your PCSX2 emulator and insert that memory card to Slot 1, and try to load the game. It should work (like the video) and your game should be playable.

HAVE FUN!!!!

  • MYMC not working

  • @MrTrello How exactly r u opening and using MYMC? Is it the link that's now broken?

I really don't keep track of most of this stuff anymore. But what exactly is wrong, i'll try to help u fix it. Just let me know.

  • @lifeisreal1990 I got it working. It was missing a MSVCR71.dll file or something. Thanks anyway

  • @MrTrello Cool, have fun, and take care.

  • Small question, do you know if it's possible to convert PCSX2 data into something usable for a PS3? Been trying to find it for a while but no luck at all.

  • @Houser45 I don't know I never tried that, I can't even get ps1 data from emulators to a ps1 memory card. The ps3 must be able to play a ps2 disc first, then its possible to reverse the process, and place pcsx2 data into a ps2 memory card. As far as I know, its like putting an emulator into the ps3, which is why it can play ps1 games from the PSN so well. Putting another ps2 in the ps3 would probably be hard to keep it compact in size. Sorry, I can't help much on that one.
