British Pathe newsreels mash-up of those shown at the flicks during 1930. This compilation features annoying presenter of the day, Jack Barty, French lady wrestlers, hop-picking East Enders on a working holiday in Kent singing a gorgeous folk song, a miners' dance, the genuinely hilarious Max & Harry Nesbitt, Einstein bizarre more than funny, Sandy Powell laying the foundation for the Fast Show, Monty Python etc, and finally the wonderful Sophie Tucker slagging off no-good gigolos

  • Remarkable!

  • The British were the real originators of the old comedy routines popularized in the Hollywood silent films. They are truly the classics!

  • these are really good videos! thanks a lot for putting them up :)
