  • Amazon holds the money for 90 days because the orders are funded by credit card companies. Credit card companies are able to do chargebacks that exceed the amazon timeframe of 30 days and Amazon can not stop them from charging back, so that is why they extend to 90 days. Sometimes they will even extend the hold to 180 days. It's horrible.

The reason the seller gets the shaft is because the sites must be customer centric to compete. It really sucks.

  • hey what websites do you recommend to sell on instead of AMAZON?

  • Also, thank you for doing an informative, lengthy video on Amazon and eBay. This is the best one I have seen. And once again, I have experience the crap too with Amazon telling me to ask buyers to leave feedback in order for my account to be reinstated or remove from under review. All of it doesn't make any sense. I just hope more people see this video before signing up with eBay or Amazon.

  • The same type of shit happen to me on Amazon and eBay. And it sucks big time because you try to explain to the buyers the reason they are not getting their product is due to the fact that you may be scam by Amazon or Paypal! I have been there a few times and left both Amazon and eBay alone. I totally understand where you are coming from with this post. And you are 100% right about the disputes on eBay and Amazon. The buyer can say something, get their money back AND keep the product. Sucks!

  • Ebay doesn't own craigslist. Craig made sure that ebay did not have enough shares to control craigslist and they sued ebay because an insider was stealing information from board meetings at craigslist. Ebay was forced to give up their shares and are no longer associated.
