Magic Number Video first aired in 1983 on KSTS- TV48 in San Jose, CA.
Created by Isaac Stevenson in association with John Douglas Broadcasting, of TV-48, to provide a service to the community, that would attract a specific target audience, and allow us to give positive messages to the community. This was the first promo I edited for the show, and shows just some of the guest we had during that first year on the air. Many artist coming into the San Francisco market had no viable way to reach their target audience other than radio. Magic Number video was the first television show to interview New Edition, Toni Tony Toni, L.L. Cool J, and many other national and local artist. Each week we had a segment, featuring Dorothy Mullen, on education. We had a community calendar, and featured community organizations as guest, that provided help and services to both adults and the youth, with the idea being, our audience would come for the videos, and we'd sneak in positive, useful information. I wanted it to be shared by the community, for the good of the community.
Thanks for your comment, we're looking into bringing Magic Number Video back to prime-time with the help of others.
