  • @Domreis7337, thanks for your comment, for some reason my apple remote stopped working, and the menu on mac told me to pair by pressing the next and menu button, but it didnt work, but when i tried pressing the play and menu, it worked, thanks alot

  • too long! just get to the point. You know how to edit?

  • fuck off boyofSins, domreis7337 thank you for posting

  • Great info! Thanx! I found out (forgot to go to Security in System Prefs) that you can pair the remote just by pressing MENU + FWD a the same time... No need to enter the Security Pref in System Prefs

  • okay, under the apple remote there is a small button on the right side. using a pen or something, push that button in as far as you can, then the entire bottom of the remote comes off, releasing the battery that it has, its a 3v lithium battery that you can buy at target or whatever if it runs out.

    hope this helps :)

  • do you ever have to recharge the remote control and if so how? i noticed that the bottom of the remote control goes clicks and i dont know if should open it. help :(

  • I just found out (same situation here - two Apple remotes, one MacBook, one iMac, both Leopard): It won't help to be logged in as a non-admin user and click the lock to pair them.

Log off and log in as a user with admin privileges - or switch to the other user. Then the pairing should work. Took me weeks to find out.

  • mi apple remote dosent want to pair with mi imac i just recently upgrade it to leopard does it have eniting to do with ith? he control works

  • Is that Red Hot Chili Peppers...Stadium Arcadium...on your iPod I see?? SWEET!!!!
