Dawn Of It All - Nuclear Blast Allstars (COVER)

Just bought some new strings so I wanted to use them for something good so I recorded Dawn Of It All now :)
Some minor mistakes and the timing on certain parts are a bit off but that's just because I have a hard time hearing the rythm and playing to it. The part at 3:00 is the hardest one imo :o

Anyway, some bad editing and 3 guitars recorded and mixed together so the sound can be a bit much at some points ;)

I'm thinking of buying a Toneport or a PodX3 Live to record my songs with, but I'm not sure which of them to buy so any suggestions would be great :)

I'd say go for the x3 live. Loads of cool metal amps, more than in that toneport ux2 (which i had) I've had both, the live and the toneport and i can tell you that the live beats the toneports ass. Nice cover, a bit more work to do in the mixing tho, and especially the timing.

Oh, I got the toneport in christmas present so I'm happy with it :)

Just want something for recording atm so it'll have to do xD

I think I'm gonna buy the X3 live sometime later on so yeah :p

oh btw, wierd... i used to have the exact guitar, ESP LTD EC-1000. I hated it, lol. I couldnt get the sound out of the pickups i wanted like i could from my ibanez sz... on my mesa triple rect... oh well, you got it sounding good thats allthat matters. cheers.

Well I love this guitar and I think it sounds awesome so yeah :)

And the chorus parts is only one guitar because when I tried more guitars it just sounded wierd so yeah xD

And I would have to sync them up too and that was a pain in the ass to get the timing right for all the tracks :o

I hope soilwork does songs like this for... say... the bonus tracks on their next albums.

I want still soilwork to keep their current awesome sound though. (But add more of their old vocals like in A Predator's Portrait in the verses and smooooooth clean vocals from stabbing the drama and sworn to a great divide for the choruses would be the ultimate music coming from them)

dude, seriously... i FUCKING love this song. It made me miss Peter Witchers in the line-up... I am so glad he is back!

The only thing i noticed that is missing in this video, during the one guitar for the choruses and so on... there are 2 guitars playing... mainly doing diatonic 3rd octave chords along with whats already there.

good job never the less... i love it.
