You Shook Me All Night Long (AC/DC) - Cover

A one man cover of AC/DC's 'You Shook Me All Night Long'. This is kinda an experiment to see if I could get Garageband and iMovie to work together. Would of been nice to have some split screen footage but I still have iMovie 08 which is lite on features. Few bits are dodgy in terms of timing and the solo would have Angus (and Solo Dallas) spinning in his grave, not just on stage.

hi great video I want to do something similar where i play different parts and layer them over each other. How did you do this in imovie 08? You recorded all the parts separately to a click track?

I use the following process:

1. Import the original into GB (I sometimes put a lead in click)

2. Record each of the audio tracks on GB while listening to the tracks in my headphones (drums first, then bass, guitars last)

3. At the same time I record the video using photobooth or just my digital camera

4. I put it all together in iMovie. I use iM07 still which means I have to import all videos and the exported GB audio track and then chop and synch as I go. Its tedious but you get the hang of it.
