Last time Kai got a few unhappy comments about his slightly harsh criticisms about some of the Canon 1100D shortcomings, even though he was generally quite nice about it. Thus, in this video the team are asked to find something for the same price as a Canon 1100D....but instead they gave the money to Lok.

  • @hardaker44 Shiny badge!!!

  • He said "Pro" 4 times Kai.

  • 1100d = Better RAW IQ, ISO, Battery life, Movie mode, and has the same metering as 7D. :D Well, this camera is more for portrait and street photography. Definitely not wildlife or sports...sadly. But stick a 24-70 lens and some fast prime and you're good to go. :) Only weak handed people complain putting a L lens on a light body like the T3/1100d or T2i.

  • I recently got my hands on a second hand 5d mkI body for the same price as the 1100D kit..

  • 40D! Thats how i role ;]

  • 40D ofcourse

Much better build quality, rubberized body, second LCD screen, one more wheel, better AF, higher burst. Maybe the ISO it's not that good, but it's close. 1600 looks pretty decent. Movie mode? Who cares about that? I used it only once on my 5D mark 2, just to check if it's working ok.

  • 40D, I'm a beginner bird photographer. From my experience so far, I've gathered that the body needs: fast, accurate autofocus, fast raw burst rate with adequate buffer and good high ISO performance. The 1100D's burst is too slow, 550D/600D would be good, but they cost too much for just a few f/ stops better ISO. On the 1100D vs 40D, you forgot the 40D has 3 custom settings on the mode dial, you can change a plethora of settings with just one click of the mode dial, very handy in my opinion.

  • 1100d = t3i ?
