Amen to that, Pope John Paul II's Theology of the Body has been a blessing to so many people. :)

I challenge ANYONE to read Pope John Paul II's "Theology of the Body". The Catholic Church teaches that when you have sex outside of marriage, you really lie to each other with your bodies. But in a committed marriage it is a moment of grace when the 2 become one with God at the center. AND NFP has a much better success rate than artificial b.c., plus your intimacy grows as a couple.Keep talking, letting other people know what they're missing in buying the lie!

This week's study is an interesting one. It does differ from most abstinence programs we've seen so far in that it doesn't take a moralistic tone, it encourages student to postpone sex until they are "ready," instead of abstaining entirely until marriage, and it included a discussion of sexually transmitted diseases. It'll be interesting to see how future studies play out.
I'm not sure your cigarette analogy is apt here. There is no biological imperative for smoking the way there is for sex.

This week there are results of a study which shows that abstinence education does, in fact, work. We don't tell kids "You're going to smoke anyway, so use filters," or "You're going to do drugs anyway," so why do we keep telling them, "We have no confidence in you to restrain yourself from having sex."

dude, fuck these christian fanatic assholes. abortion is a RIGHT for the girls (and even sometimes couples who decide TOGETHER) who decide to get it. these christians with their boy-raping priests and pastors have no right to take that option away from those girls/woman, though christianity has already infringed on some of our rights. ever wonder why you cant buy liquor on a sunday? fuck them. the crosses days are numbered. start counting.

In fact, studies show that abstinence only education does not affect teenage sexuality. As a result it is a waste of resources, and it is a squandered opportunity that could have been used to educate teens in ways that do matter. Surely you don't believe that this whole time the correct response to a worldwide AIDS crisis that has killed over 25 million people with 30 million more still infected, creating untold poverty and misery and millions of orphans is simply to say, "don't have sex."
-
That simply isn't true. You need to stop getting your scientific and medical information from your church, just as you wouldn't go to a scientist for information about God. Read the CDC page on condom effectiveness, and read the New Zealand (your country) AIDS Fountation's condemning response to the Pope (who recently made comments almost identical to yours), saying that comments like his are likely to increase HIV transmission rates around the world.

Every medical study from 2001 has found condoms actually INCREASE the risk of STDs, as they are ineffective and so more people have more sex wearing more condoms thinking they are protected. The truth is, they are not. Abortions are on the increase. Sex ed has been out there for years. My country is an example of this. As more sex ed is provided in schools and the community abortions are increasing at the same time. Get a real education. NFP or abstinance is the only way to go.
I love it! 5 stars and a fav.

This video is an elitist nightmare. It advocates for the murder of children born in wedlock, or simple poverty. It was created by a fool; whose very soul is in jeopardy for supporting the evil of abortion on demand.

It's like you didn't even watch the video. The video is not about abortion. It says nothing about abortion. In fact, given that it is about preventing unwanted pregnancies in the first place, I would argue that it is actually against abortion. Also, you're very rude.
