Maybe the PARENTS should be PARENTS and tell the kids other ways to advance in life. Dont blame recruiters for doing their job. And the military is an excellent way in my eyes. Maybe not others. Just stop blaiming the recruiters.

I think a lot of people would be surprised at the number of Doctors, Lawyers, Government officials, and business owners that are prior service.

The military has nothing to do with children not having oppurtunies to go to college and succeed. Has this guy every heard of tuition assistance and the g.i bill. It sickens me to see somebody down talk something they no nothing about.

Financial aid is not that hard to get if you keep the grades.....oh shit the smarter children are in the fucking Army and Marines, the Navy and the Air Force. a lot of training isnt worth much??!!! my ass!! a buddy of mine works on jets for the Corps he retired and went civilian and because of the FREE training he makes six figures working on commercial airlines. Please remember the Men and Women who proudly died for you before you start running you uninformed mouth against their legacy.

When making such claims about the military as you do I might suggest that you at least attempt to do a small amount of fact checking as opposed to simply standing on your soapbox. As a soldier and former recruiter I can assure you that your statement are way off base and no where near accurate. As far as your claim stating that the military is not a way to advance in life, that is complete nonsense. My feeling in regard to joining the military is that is was the best decision of my life.
