@Theedthree to bad you Eagles can't hold their own in the end! Philladelphia has been living in the shadow of Dallas for decades now. Maybe Eagles fans realize that no matter how good they are they'll never be able to see the light again because the Cowboys keep it all to themselves. Not to mention the fact that we're America's team, not you. I'm sure most Eagles fans are just like you...passionate about their team...love their team...no matter what. Which is the way it is supposed to be. Also...I don't like the bandwagon Cowboys fans either. Wearing a Romo Jersey until he loses and then stop wearing the jersey. LAME.

I must say...the Eagles were a great team this year and I felt they were good enough to go all the way this season.

Yes but the Eagles have raised obsessing over beating Dallas to an art form...and I would argue it is one of the reasons they have not won a Super Bowl.

As far as the "best fans in the NFL" comment....do you mean the same fans that threw snowballs with ice inside them at players and coaches? Yeah they are a real class act. Having lived in the Philadelphia area for about 25 years, I know they are mostly great fans...but I'm not sure they deserve "best in the NFL" status.

One other thing. We DO obsess over beating Dallas. And we are proud of this. We have never won a Super Bowl, so we don't have to deal with the legions of bandwagon fans who all-to-often are spotted donning the Romo jersey. We don't need Super Bowls to validate us as the best fans in the NFL (even Darren Woodson admitted this!). We point to all the NFC east matchups each season - that's what football is all about, and if they can beat the polished, prissy Cowboys, life is even better.

You couldn't be more right - and I kind of like your description. "A "special kind of hell" cause it truly is just that. I have never experienced a Super Bowl win, and although I would like to know what that feels like, this frustration is what defines the typical Eagles fan. Despite never winning a trophy, it is universally agreed that Eagls fans are probably the most passionate. I hate to agree, but the Cowboys will win the SB again before the Eagles ever do. But I still love 'em.

Yeah but your Eagles just proved the point I was making about them...ALL OVER AGAIN. Year after year, no matter how good (or in this season's case GREAT) your Eagles are, they still ALWAYS choke in the end.

Man....it's got to be a special kind of hell being an Eagles fan.

As for the Cowboys...I'm not worried about them. I KNOW they'll make it back to the big game...and WIN it. It's only a matter of time with Dallas.
