I have never gone this fast until last weekend. This FZ1 has a tremendous amount of power that just rocks. I really need a steering stabilizer to get going any faster.
This was a 5th gear roll on up to 142MBH

btw posting "ride safe - wear a helmet" while riding 140mph aint the smartest thing I've ever read: it'll be closed casket either way.

I have a 2008 fz1 granite color, all stock. Had it up to 140mph on the interstate with plenty of speed left over!

@R1KSU true that, i love my fz1, almost bought an r1, im glad i bought my fz1 instead, it will hang with r1's well into 100mph, its super comfy and handles very well =D fz1 is the perfect daily rider bike!

i have a 04 fz1 with big bore jetted and leo vince full system ive barried the needle several times 180+ with lots of rpms left. scary fast

LOL riding 140mph is up there with smoking 3 packs a day and have double quarter cheeseburgers for supper every night LOL

My FZ is a 2006. They are solid bikes. I wouldnt ride anything else. Spring for the 2006 if you can find one. The new frame is stronger than the tube steel versions. Its lighter as well. Plus the ride ergos are better. With a pipe and a power commander you get much better performance than stock.
