  • Thanks for your comments. I was aware of the sheveningen pawn formation, but was afraid I would not pronounce it correctly. Someone made fun of Kingscrusher for the way he said it. Anyone know the right way? As for the bishop exchange, I did not have a clear plan of what to do with it, so swapped off. I think I would opt to retain it in the future. What do you think?

  • Steve, this is a very interesting first half of this game. I am not smart enough to be able to see why black has such an advantage.... perhaps part 2 will clarify a few things for me. Good work.

  • Thanks for the feedback, tylemmons. Did you see the second part of the game? I possibly could have held the position with accurate play, but the pressure along the d file and the a8 h1 diagonal caused me to eventually falter. Sometimes chess victories are like chipping a way with an ice pick rather than slamming away with a sledgehammer. Thanks for watching and for your comment!
