I was taught that when the hair is not connected in a line to scalp it is called a plat. Braids; for people of color are for hair that is "braided" in a line ending inan unconnected length to finish. Your daughters hair is lovely. =) priceless thinking she had to go to bed now ha ha

@LadyShyye Can you please reword what you said because to my understanding a braid is connected to your scalp because it is your hair. What am I misconstruing? And thank you:)

how long does her hair have to be to braid it? my daughters goes almost to the middle of her back when in the bath and combed out, but dry it barely touches her shoulders..
