Hm, I dont really use this technique, I use a more traditionaly viking method, but I think you use the same way of moving on to second row;
If you do a pair of gloves, mittens or socks, or any "tube"-formed piece of clothing, this is how you do:
Take the row of loops around your hand,
in a circle with the ends together
Make sure it's not twisted
Drive the needle through the last loop and the first loop
Continue running the needle through the loops you've already done and through the thumbloop

this is the Oslo stich, most use the Danish stich...Both are traditional viking
