Mamet is great, his plays sound like movie scripts, has a great attitude regarding the teaching of Method acting, trained such acting greats as Joe Mantegna, William Macy, and Felicity Huffman.

What's his attitude on Method acting?

Read True and False and it'll explain all of his feelings on acting.

Actually he doesn't believe in acting training.

That's what I thought. I've read his criteria for an actor and it's very short: along the lines of clear diction and supply body. And that's it. Someone mentions his attitude on Method acting, I want to hear more -- but apparently there is no more to be heard.

Ehh...David Mamet is brilliant in the sense that he has convinced people that he is brilliant. In fact I find only a few of his plays to be tolerable as he does little more than regurgitate what he's written previously. His terrible plays are fucking awful, his "great" ones are alright if you prefer profanity to real meaningful dialogue.

Okay bitchrod, my comment was straightforward. In the English language we have something called a simile. Can you say that? Simile. Now, a simile is a comparison using the words "like" or "as." So if someone says, "He's talking like he's in the mob?" that means that he's not actually in the mob, but is being compared to the mob.

Okay?

Apparently you're a high school drop out...

Savorist- Number one, you're confusing with somebody who gives a good fart about what you have to say...so don't try so hard on your silly, boring repartees. Number Two, you might want to practice on not being so sensitive to other people's remarks...you might give off the wrong impression about yourself, sissyboy. Number three, think before you post childish similes next time....Not once did Mr Mamet mentioned anything about "whacking" anybody..or breaking anyone's legs. Capisca?
