Performance difference between a Q9650 and 2500k, both systems have 4gb of RAM and are using a single 1gb 5870. 1600x1200 DX11 4xAA 16xAF highest settings HBAO off

  • @chilldog1234567890 sorry

Ivy Bridge equivalent of i5 2500k

  • @SuperThe86 is that a joke ? i5 2500k is sandy bridge

  • If you have a q9650 why do you need to upgrade it has 4 cores too

this is far enough for the new games on max settings or 70-75 fps isn't enough or what? I played this game on medium-high configuration and I was happy if I got 30 fps

  • I have q9450@3.2ghz GTX 460 1GB and 4GB DDR2.

I will wait for sandy bridge equivalent of i5 2500k and nvidia gtx 560-570.

  • Just orderer my i5 2500K today. Gonna replace 2.5year old Q9650@3.4ghz which was struggling with GTX570..

  • @FFF693 Are you stupid?, are you not seeing the FPS, the Q9650 is about 70 FPS lower then the 2500k?

  • @FFF693, Really?

  • @FFF693 how? 0.o

  • i dont understand, q9650 or 2500k better?

  • @azsyndicate hogwash, i have a q9650 @ 4ghz and 8 gigs @ circa 1100 5-5-5-15

though it does hold its fucking own, it does not bench as high as a 2500k.
