That's true. FAS is such a sad disease my ex bf has it. =( The thing that makes me the most mad about it though is it's 100% preventable!! If you can't quit drinking have an abortion or don't get pregnant in the first place it is such a selfish disease to give to someone.

Government warning (1) According to the sergion general woman should not drink alcoholic beverages during pregnancy as it may cause birth defects. (2) Consumption of alcoholic beverages impairs your ability to drive a car, operate dangerous machinery, and may cause health problems.

thank you for sharing something like this is very hard. Very interesting that you have been able to find something that you enjoy doing. I cannot play an instrument for the life of me, but i admire those who can. Especially drums. :) it is not going to be an easy road, but its nice that you have found something you enjoy.

not sure if you researched it at all in the last while, but a child can only get FAS from the mother, but the father is able to give the child some form of disabilities if he drinks but just not FAS

Unfortunately not always. The physical manifestations could be obvious, or invisible. Sometimes there are only behavioural or cognitive signs of this disease.
