They try to spread it out over the US. Texas was first, then California,Illinois,Colorado and last year, Minnesota. The 2009 championships will be announced soon on the USFS site ;)

I saw you at nations! Great performance. I don't know how you got all those gems on in that quick change! also, how did you get this online? I wanna put mine online to!

Thank you! The quick change was brutal. The officials allowed me to exit to the side instead of back through the curtain. Waiting in one of the rooms were 2 of my friends with everything I needed to change. There was a lot of surgical glue, tape and hairspray involved ;) I have a MAC and used Handbrake to import the DVD footage and then used I-Movie to upload it to You Yube :)

Actually, It was on my first practice session I saw that the curtain did not go all the way down to the ice...I thought it would be cool (no pun intended) to duck under the curtain backwards and come out forwards.;) I wanted to go further under but since skaters were warming up back stage I did not want to take anyone out. Thanks for the comment! ;)

your right! it is like mercury! great program. & i really dont mean to sound rude at all but did you mean to go a little under the curtain at the end ith your shooting duck?

Yes, when I first skated this program it was at Lake Placid. The rules did not allow for a prop that was not hand held. For National Showcase props are encouraged, so I added in the silver netting for a unique effect. As for the costume, I actually bought it and modified it for skating, all I had to do was cut out the shape for my face and use surgical glue to keep it in place, glue was also used to adhere the crystals to my face. Mercury was exactally the look I was going for :)

Great to see this again. In the first video, (I think) you didn't use the gauze fabric. Wasn't it allowed then? And I love the liquid silver fabric...it's like mercury! (Must have been a beast to sew, lol!)

I had actually thought of that early on while I was still choreographing this program....sadly, throwing glitter type material would pose a hazard on the ice should I or other competitors skate over it...too bad, because it would have had a great effect.
