1943, high quality. Chip and Dale's first appearance. Pluto had no idea what he was in for!
This episode's voice samples for Chip and Dale were used again and again in later episodes. It was only about 6 years later that Chip and Dale were granted intelligible voices, yet we kept hearing some of the old Private Pluto samples until 1952.
At the time of this episode, Chip and Dale did not have names, were identical and looked more like real chipmunks. They're barely recognizable compared to their final, 1950-1956 form.
