This short HD 720 video highlights events in a very moving ceremony which took place in Loughborough Leics Queens Park on the 10th April 2010-- when the Freedom Charter of the Borough of Loughborough Charnwood was presented by the mayor to 203 Squadron (Loughborough) Territorial Army part of the 158 Royal Anglian Transport Regiment. This ceremony in Queens Park was followed by the regiment then exercising its new right to march through the town centre of Loughborough with band playing and bayonets fixed-- followed by a reentry to Queens Park with a formal march past and salute prior to dismissal. I would have liked to include more video footage in this movie but there is a time limit of 10 minutes on Youtube-- so I have selected various video clips that seemed most relevant. Thank you.

  • How you managed to get such good shots with all those Official photographers running around and people moving in and around the scene amazed me. Excellent colour and clarity I really am envious and wonder how much you charge for lessons. Thanks Bob for sharing with us a bit of Loughborough history in the making. No crackling which gets with video's with no film shuddering which is often present on videos you see. Looking forward to the next show. Sincerely, Syd Spence

  • @sydspence Thanks Syd for your appreciation. I must admit when I saw all those official photographers I blanched --thinking that my contribution would be insignificant compared to officialdom. However I took up a vantage point in the crowd and fired away not expecting a good result. I was really pleased and surprised when I started editing as to how well my video and stills had suceeded in capturing this occasion. The whole movie is about 30 minutes long . Regards Rob

  • Thanks for this Bob,

I was so proud to see my brother being one of the soldiers being given the Freedom Charter of the Borough of Loughborough.

Our daughter Catalina who is two years and four months will be able to see this footage of her Uncle Pete. I would love to see the full film.

    Kind regards from Belgium.
